Prerequisites for Senior Membership

• Possess the desire, willingness, and capability to promote the objectives and purposes of the Civil Air Patrol.

• Must be at least 18 years old. Active duty members of the Armed Forces can join the CAP as a senior member at any age.

• United States citizens or aliens lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the U.S.

• No felony conviction by any court of record, whether federal, state or military.

• No pattern of arrests and/or convictions including but not limited to sex offenses, child abuse, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (DUI), dishonesty, and violence.

• Submit your fingerprints for a background check

• Prior active duty members of  the military must have been discharged under honorable conditions.

• Complete a CAP application

• Pay dues (see below)

National, Wing, and Group Dues

• Initial annual National Dues are $75.00 payable to CAP National Headquarters for national, wing, and group dues.

• Renewal annual National Dues are $65.00.

• Membership year ends on the last day of the month in which National Headquarters approves the membership application.

Squadron Dues

• There are no Squadron dues at this time. Should additional funds be needed, these will be obtained through fund-raising activities.
